Dr. David Harrison

Raised in Abilene, Texas, Dr. David Harrison attended Texas A&M University where he earned his degree in Biomedical Science in 1992 then continued on to receive his degree in Veterinary Medicine in May 1995. Upon graduation, he began work as an associate veterinarian in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Harrison began as staff veterinarian at DeZavala-Shavano Veterinary Clinic in March 1996, then purchased the clinic in December 1996. Along with the surrounding area, the clinic has grown from a staff of seven members to its current number of thirteen.

Dr. Harrison specializes in small animal medicine with an emphasis on dental care and preventative medicine.

Along with his wife and young son, Dr. Harrison is an avid pet lover.


Dr. Melanie Wilcox Dr. Melanie Wilcox-Faulkner

Dr. Melanie Wilcox-Faulkner joined our staff as Associate Veterinarian in June 2000. She received her veterinary training and degree from Texas A&M University in May 1999. Dr. Wilcox-Faulkner specializes in small animal medicine with an emphasis on general surgery and exotics (birds and pocket pets).

We know you will enjoy getting to know Dr. Wilcox-Faulkner with her friendly personality and professional attention she gives each client.

Dr. Wilcox-Faulkner's enthusiasm for animals is evident in the many well-cared-for pets she owns.
